This paper presents an advance in the process of implementation of the latest techniques of data acquisition for the documentation of the IETcc´s file archives, in the year of it’s the 80 anniversary of its construction. This work presents the survey of the staff-dining room, which is a singular element of the building, that has suffered several modifications through the years. In a further step the data will be edited, to make plans that allow comparison with those kept on the IETcc archives. A laser scanner equipment has been used in this work, due to the fact that this technology has been transformed from an emerging technology to a current, useful and a real alternative to the terrestrial photogrametry in the survey and analysis of the architectural heritage.
