Abstract

This church has 500 seats and maximum width is 41 m, whilst the length is 33 m. The altar has been placed at the optical center of the church, whilst the inclined walls converge towards this point. This inclination and the strong colouring of the timber of the roof help to induce in the worshippers a tendency to concentrate their attention on the altar zone. Plastic art contributions to this religious project include: the altar table, the tabernacle, the seated Virgin and Child, which are the work of Prof. Henselmann, and a painting by Prof. Nagel.
