Abstract

The project was awarded the first price at a competition initiated in 1963, and it is based on the universally established practice regarding careful and strict dimensioning, uniform illumination, transversal ventilation, low ceilings, maximum concentration and short circulation distances, as well as coordinated organization of the various nuclei and functions, and centralization of the relaxation zones. The actual building has been carefully constructed, with long lasting materials requiring little maintenance, such as unfaced concrete and anodized aluminium.
