Abstract

The orientation of the group of enclosed spaces (two workshops, a garage and a patio for sculptures and working room) was chosen so that the owner, painter and sculptress, Lydia Roppolt, should enjoy in the utmost measure the best light for the creation of her paintings and sculptures. The architects achieved powerful interplays between the texture and colour of the external building materials, and indoors they created an ambient expressive of a strong artistic personality.
