Abstract

The quality control in road works is a subject that is being very much studied at present owing to the large volume of work involved in the construction of motor roads. There is need to revise the traditional methods of testing and of interpreting these tests. The modern rate of work requires a quick and continuous control of the work; in addition, statistical analysis should be applied to the results to avoid subjective interpretations and Ijetter meet the contract requirements. The present author discusses these problems in a clear manner, and also gives information on the control organisation in Spain and on frequency and cost of these tests.
