Abstract

The article describes the stiff mass concrete pavement at Torrejón bypass, which is the first motor road section (7 km long) made in Spain with this type of pavement. In the construction the Stiff Pavements Section (SEPAR) of the Instituto Eduardo Torroja has taken part, both as adviser at the design and construction stages of the work, and it has also helped with the loan of machinery and equipment.
