This excellently designed and finished building has a stepped up profile which in addition to its aesthetic quality, has the advantage that its main rooms and lecture halls open out unto terraces and that there are no rooms without direct access to the exterior. The rear and lateral zones are devoted to the activities of the Embassy, whilst the central nucleus is mainly residential. The extended balconies, the sun canopies and several other functional features, such as the emergency exits, and correct gradation of the sunshine, are typical of the work of architect Eiermann.
