VDL Experimental House in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, (USA)

The new experimental VDL house has two storeys and a basement. The ground floor has the Richard J. Neutra Institute colloquium hall, a bar, a caretaker's room and several terraces as well as a patio linking it to the greenhouse zone. The first floor has a. living room, breakfast zone, two bedrooms and accessories. The atic is linked with a landscaped terrace. This current version of the VDL experimental dwelling is characterised by a number of special features, such as electronic and illumination fittings, and the effective use of water surfaces, which have been very carefully integrated into the design.
