This paper deals with the theoretical and experimental methods of designing flexible pavements, based: on rational calculation; on the ASSHO test results and on the research carried out by professor Kucera, to adapt these results to particular circumstances. The author describes the experimental pavement which he uses currently, and there are also sets of charts to determine the design in terms of the amount of traffic, and type of ground.
