Abstract

The building has three basements, ground floor and 19 storeys above ground. The basements accommodate such things as the telephone exchange, stores, and records offices. The ground floor is an open space, with some seats, and the glass enclosed cabin for the concierge. The 18 top floors are mainly devoted to office space, and the 19th also contains many of the building's installations. The materials and constructive systems are very modem, and are the most adequate to the functions of the building, as well as those most suited to achieving a quick and low cost construction.
