Baranzate Parish Church, Near Milan

This church has a lower level, containing the crypt, the baptistry, confession boxes, and a sacristy; and a higher, or normal level, with the main church for the congregation, and the presbitry. This is reached by a series of steps. Two stairs, at the ends of the building, connect the lower and higher levels. The main interest of this building is its brilliant structure: four reinforced concrete pillars and prefabricated slabs. The lightness of the lateral enclosures and the powerful plasticity of the materials used are also most impressive.
