Abstract

This residence constitutes a magnificent example of the possibility that landscaping be also an expression of architectural art. In this case the landscape is integrally related with the house itself, and the plants perform an important aesthetic function. The illustrations give a good impression of this, and enable to reader to appreciate clearly the studied care with which decoration and environmental problems have been treated. The distribution is significantly interesting. It relies on a series of small and intimate patios, for the independent use and enjoyment of the main rooms. The internal decoration is modern and involves a profuse adoption of tapestries and wood on walls and floors. The whole is outstanding for its sense of intimate comfort and the success in incorporating nature both to the indoor and outdoor design. It is, on the whole, a most interesting example of recent Mexican residential architecture.
