Esta casa de campo, construida para el propio Friis, tiene una fisonomía y una composición volumétrica de admirable sencillez, y en su diseño se ha jugado solamente con masas y zonas, ciegas o diáfanas, en rudo contraste. Los cuatro alzados presentan características iguales, pero completamente opuestas, según se las mire. La planta baja tiene luces a este y oeste, fundamentalmente, mientras que la planta superior orienta las zonas grandes de cristal a norte y sur; con esto se ha tratado de prestar atención particular a los cuatro puntos cardinales, de modo que cada parte de la casa tenga una especial significación con el paisaje correspondiente: el patio cerrado, la zona de arbolado más próxima o el panorama general. Se ha dedicado un especial cuidado a destacar el contraste entre la afinidad casa-patio íntimo y su afinidad respecto del espacio y paisaje abierto.
