A las uniones roblonadas y atornilladas clásicas y a las costuras soldadas, que tan rápidamente se han generalizado en la construcción metálica en el último cuarto de siglo, ha venido a sumarse, en los últimos años, un nuevo método de enlace, semejante a los dos primeros, pero diferente de ellos por la concepción de su mecanismo de transmisión de esfuerzos.
