Puente de hormigón pretensado, Caracas

El puente Portachuelo, situado en el helicoide de la Roca Tarpeya (Caracas), es una estructura de hormigón pretensado en forma de pórtico espacial. En los estudios preliminares, con objeto de encontrar un sistema adecuado para el puente en curva se investigó primeramente el sistema de Dischinger, en el cual la columna del pórtico se descompone en un elemento de compresión y un tirante.
