Basic faci lities fo r socia l serv ices. Building designed as a home fo r the elderly, with 120 beds plus adult day care service for 40 seniors; erected under an agreement between the Madrid Housing Institute (IVIMA) and the Regional Department ofFamily Affairs and Social Services in a small tOWlI in the region ofMadrid with a population of4.350. The design lends particular auention to zoning and spatial distribution based 0 11 a specific organisational chart as wel! as to daylight-related questions. The choice ofmaterials and colours is in keeping with the intended use ofthe building and the characteristics ofits users.
