Verticality versus horizontality. The history of hospital building in the twentieth century

Throughout history hospit als have been interpreted as places destined to accommodate or cure the iII and have been consequently considered to be among the most important building in any community. Infact, nowadays , in many ofour cities they are the companies which contain the greatest number ofworkers and which have the highest running costs. As a result, it will hardly seem strange that, in many respects, when we look at the various types and the structural and technical aspects of the installations, wejind the most advanced solutions of the time.
