La central hidroeléctrica de Birsfelden

La central hidroeléctrica de Birsfelden, situada sobre el rio Rhin, en su margen izquierda, que sirve de frontera en este tramo entre Alemania y Suiza, forma parte de las obras de un aprovechamiento de pequeño salto, a flor del agua, en el que, debido al gran caudal, se han instalado cuatro grupos de 30.000 CV cada uno. La central por sí sola constituye una obra funcional de rico sabor y alcance arquitectónico.
