Within the framework of thermal comfort studies in public spaces in arid urban environments, the UTCI index is calculated in a sample of green spaces (EVU) and road canals (CVU), in the current and improved scenario, as a validation of bioclimatic indicators obtained by the Executing Unit (INEAA). ENVI-met is used to micrometeorologically simulate the samples and obtain the calculation variables of the UTCI. In the case of UVCs, UTCI decrements of between 0.3ºC and 9.3ºC are generated. It is observed that, with a higher H/W ratio, the UTCI value increases and that with a higher value of the Heat Island, the importance of the alignment trees increases as well. For EVUs, the UTCI difference in minus is between 0.4ºC to 3.0ºC. It is concluded that, by applying specific bioclimatic indicators of arid zones, the bioclimatic comfort conditions of the population improve.
