Taking into account physical and geographic factors can result in an important saving on the installation of intelligent houses, moreover it contributes to the efficiency and maintenance of the system. Matters as building location, meteorological and climatic parameters, solar radiation, and even social analysis through GIS (Geographic Information System) can be important points when designing the implementation of an Intelligent House, and they must be in balance with the necessarily limited budget.
