Wood innovative applications in construction

The use of wooden products in construction has experienced significant changes during the last decades. New technologies have allowed to produce better and more predictable products for structural applications while have improved transformation processes to make more efficient use of the available raw resource. This paper describes current applications of new wooden materials uncommon in the Spanish construction. The Fundación Cultural COAM has channeled this information to designers in a number of seminars and courses during the last two years with special attention to the innovative applications.
