Abstract

This catholic church has been planned as a relaxing and «concentrated» building, especial thought being given to the religious purpose of the project. The body of the church, of pure white colour, dominates the surrounding landscape: the volumes are echeloned in an ascending order: atrium, nave, altar zone, and finally the tower. Although this design dates from before the Vatican Council, the condition is met that the altar should be easily visible and its position facilitates the «celembratio versus populum». Its inner environment is clear and satisfying, suitable for communication with the Almighty.
