On teaching and practice of structural theory

Some anomalies detected in teaching and practice of engineering and architecture, are used as a starting point for an epistemological research on the industrial culture techniques, using structural theory as an example. The conclusion of this research is that it is necessary to pay more attention to structural design, rather than to structural analysis, today omnipresent. A definite proposal to reform both teaching and professional practice is also formulated.
